My first passion is acting. I was on stage in 1968 at primary school and every year thereafter in my schooling career. I went to the army for two years and was retained at infantry school as an instructor of instructors. This was quite an achievement for an english speaking boy of 17. I worked for a year after finishing my military commitment as a salesman for a paving company and a personal development company called success motivation institute. I then went to the university and started a Bachelor of Arts degree with English, Law, Psychology and Drama. During this year I realized that all I wanted to do was be an actor and so half way through the year I left and got employed by a film company as a runner. I auditioned for drama school and was one of 26 students accepted out of the the thousands of applicants. I started studying acting at the university of Cape Town the following year. I graduated from first year with the prize for the most improved student of the year. I never finished the diploma and went back into the film industry learning camera and assistant direction. I started actively pursuing an acting carreer and did a number of plays and a number of films and television series. I moved to Cape Town after ten years, married my wife Ana which is the major achievement of my life and worked with her in her casting company for twenty years. I have now moved to Scotland where I intend putting all of my experience to good use in continuing to act and possibly teaching a bit.
